Upcoming trips at UAGC:
1. UAGC students enrolled in our dance program will have an opportunity to see the Flamenco Dance Company at New York City Center!
2. 9th and 10th graders will have an opportunity to tour CUNY City Technical College and participate in post-secondary workshops

UAGC celebrates Black History Month with student created work and performances!
Hadestown
UAGC students with strong attendance for the month of February will be able to apply for an opportunity to attend Hadestown! Student interested in and currently reading mythology -be sure to apply!
Wicked
25 UAGC students will participate in this Broadway Bridges opportunity and see Wicked for free with 3 chaperones!
Mid Winter Break
UAGC students will not be in attendance the week of February 19 - 23rd! We wish all of our community members a restful and restorative break!
Senior Picture Day
UAGC seniors will take their portraits for yearbook and to celebrate their achievements this year!

UAGC Students: Get ready for some exciting opportunities at our upcoming career fair! You will engage with representatives from various career fields, uncover potential post-secondary pathways, and have interactions that can both inspire and shape your future. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

Friday Breakfast!
We’re putting the break in breakfast with a celebratory gathering of students and staff this AM from 7:45 - 8:15. Join us before we go into the break!
UAGC Dance Show
Join us for our holiday dance show! Students will showcase dances learned in class and in collaboration with our partners.
Columbia University Visit
9th and 10th grade students will be visiting our partners at Columbia’s Double Discovery Center. The DDC supports students in early college exploration and planning so that they can begin working towards their post-secondary goals!

Student Chefs create weekly menus for breakfast that they plan, cook, and serve on Fridays from 7:45 - 8:15 AM. Come eat with us!
Musical Concert: Aureole
OSL invites New York City’s public school students to outstanding classical music performances designed especially for young people. These OSL concerts are presented free of charge.
UAGC students can qualify for this experience by maintaining high attendance.

Rhythms of Latin America and the Caribbean Dance Performance
UAGC student discover the exuberance of dance, cultural immersion, and artistic development through the lively rhythms and dynamic movements of Latin American and Caribbean dances. Participants will expand their cultural horizons through a site visit to a live Latin American and Caribbean dance performance, inspiring their own creative journeys and encouraging exploration of diverse artistic influences and perspectives.

SEO Scholars Presentation
9th graders will learn about SEO Scholars and the wonderful opportunities they provide students:
“Starting in the ninth grade, we provide rigorous academic instruction, quality mentorship, and individualized advising, to ensure that our Scholars are admitted to competitive colleges, and experience a rich and rewarding college education.”

Mural Ceremony
We are excited to host the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Mural Unveiling in our school garden.
This event represents a significant milestone in our commitment to art, creativity, sustainability, and collaboration. City Art and community members will join us in cutting the ribbon to unveil a remarkable mural that embodies the spirit of artistic expression and innovation.
Broadway Trip: Wicked
20 UAGC students will enjoy a live production of Wicked on Broadway! Chaperones will escort students from school to the show.
